Boko Haram: I’m tired of this calamity, Shekau says in new video
TheBoko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, has said in a new video that he is tired of the calamity befalling his group.

“I am tired of this calamity; it is better I die and go to rest in paradise,” he said at the end of a 10-minute video clip.
In the video, delivered chiefly in Hausa, Mr. Shekau pleaded with his non-combatant members across the country to pick up arms and help him fight till he drops dead.
Flanked by two hooded armed men, Shekau said the latest claim by the military that the group had been sent packing from Sambisa Forest is false, boasting that he is still in Sambisa Forest and controls the territory.
He said that his men will continue to fight regardless of the recent induction of Cameroonian soldiers into the Operation Lafiya Dole counter-insurgency force.
Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has asked the Federal High Court in Lagos to order the Senate President Bukola Saraki, Senator Dino Melaye and 107 other senators to refund “illegal and unconstitutional N13.5 monthly allowance receives by each senator with interest, and to stop the lawmakers from receiving such unjustified allowances.”
Armed men believed to be Fulani herdsmen yesterday killed at least two Mobile policemen at Tse- Oragbo, Nyiev in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State. This came as herders yesterday invaded Enyanwu Igwe village, Igbeagu community in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and killed three villagers and injured two others.
