The Waziri of Adamawa who earlier in the week announced his return to the PDP, came on a courtesy call to the Chairman, National Caretaker Committee of the party, Senator Ahmed Makarfi.

Accompanied by some highly placed members of the party including Senators Ben Murray Bruce, Stella Omu amongst others, the ex- Vice President took his popularity to a new level with a group of young people decked in specially-made T-shirts, with the inscription: ‘Atiku 100%.’

In his remarks, Atiku said the reason for his visit was to ‘come and show face,’ having earlier announced his decision on social media few days ago.

“All what I have come to do today is to come and show my face. Many people have read in the media that I have returned home. This is the home.”

“Mr Chairman, I want to congratulate you for a wonderful work which you have been doing to redeem the image of this party, to redeem it, rebrand it and return it to its original form.

“I want to assure you of my support and cooperation at all times, to make sure that these objectives are achieved by you and subsequently by your successors,” he said.
